Founder of Simple Website Development & Support, a UK-based Squarespace website designer specialising in websites for small service-based businesses.

I launched Simple Website Development & Support on 26th January 2026 with one clear goal: to help small businesses build strong, sustainable online foundations from the start.

Having grown and managed businesses myself, I understand how important visibility and clarity are when you rely on enquiries to survive and grow.

Alongside website design, I focus heavily on education. I regularly publish practical blogs and website guides aimed at helping small business owners understand SEO, structure, and online visibility in plain English. My aim isn’t just to build websites — it’s to build confidence and understanding.

I work primarily with new and growing UK service businesses who want a clear, professional online presence and strong SEO foundations from day one. Many of my clients are launching for the first time or rebuilding after realising their current website isn’t bringing enquiries.

My core services include complete Squarespace website design and build, SEO foundations setup, Google Business Profile optimisation, and business directory alignment. While many clients come to me needing a new website, I also support businesses who are happy with their current site but need professional guidance to improve visibility, structure, and traffic. I focus on clarity and performance — ensuring websites are built or refined properly so they can be found on Google and convert visitors into enquiries.

The main problems I help solve are lack of visibility, unclear messaging, and websites that look professional but don’t generate work. Many small business owners feel overwhelmed by tech or unsure why their site isn’t performing. I build websites that are simple to manage, structured intentionally, and designed to support long-term growth.

What makes my approach different is that I am a small business owner myself. I understand what it feels like to rely on your website for income, which is why I prioritise structure, clarity and visibility from the outset. Pretty isn’t the goal — enquiries are.

I particularly enjoy working with consultants, rural and agricultural businesses, trades, florists, and service-based professionals who want calm, professional websites that reflect their credibility.

I specialise in Squarespace, with a strong focus on SEO structure, metadata, Google Search Console integration, internal linking, and aligning websites with Google Business Profile visibility. I am known for building websites that clients genuinely understand and can confidently manage themselves.

To me, a successful working relationship looks like transparency, clarity, and structure. I guide clients step by step and build with long-term sustainability in mind.

I also strongly believe in supporting other women in business and collaborative growth. I work closely with Hayley from The Efficient Penguin Co, who is also listed on the Freelancer Registry. Our businesses naturally complement each other, allowing us to support small businesses more holistically where needed.

Right now, I’m especially keen to support new and growing UK service businesses who want their website built properly from the beginning, with strong foundations rather than needing to “fix it later.”

Some recent projects I’m particularly proud of include detailed case studies where I’ve rebuilt and structured websites to improve visibility and performance. For example, my work with Pasha Flowers involved building a clear, conversion-focused Squarespace website aligned with Google Business visibility and structured service pages. The result was improved clarity, stronger local presence, and an immediate increase in customer enquiries following launch.

My advice to businesses considering outsourcing their website? Don’t just ask how it looks. Ask how it performs. Ask about structure. Ask about visibility. And make sure you understand what you’re being given.

Simple doesn’t mean basic. It means intentional.
